About Chiara

Hi there! I completed the IB Diploma with a perfect score of 45/45, including double A grades in both my Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge. I then went on to study Human, Social, and Political Sciences at the University of Cambridge, where I specialised in Sociology and took modules in Advanced Social Theory, the Sociology of Gender, and the Sociology of Culture, Media and Society. I graduated with a Double First-Class degree and was elected a King’s Scholar in recognition of my academic achievements. After graduating, I worked as an International School Marketing Associate at Lanterna Education, delivering in-person presentations to over 4,000 IB students across 50 schools in Europe. Alongside my work and studies, I have spent over eight years tutoring students from a wide range of backgrounds and age groups. I’ve supported International Baccalaureate students in subjects including Maths, Geography, English, Spanish, Film, Theory of Knowledge, and the Extended Essay. I have also tutored undergraduate students in Sociology, Social Anthropology, and other Humanities subjects, and have successfully coached students through all stages of the Oxbridge application process, including admissions assessments, personal statement writing, and interview preparation.

My lessons are highly adaptable and tailored to each student’s academic goals and learning style. In our first session, we’ll work together to set clear learning objectives and create a schedule that supports your needs. I will then create structured lesson plans aligned with those goals and offer regular, constructive feedback to help you build confidence and track your development over time. I prioritise creating a supportive, friendly environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My aim is to make complex ideas accessible, breaking down theories and frameworks in a way that encourages understanding, curiosity, and independent thinking. Whether you’re preparing for university, tackling coursework, or simply looking to deepen your interest in a subject, I’ll meet you where you are and help you move forward with clarity and enthusiasm. For university applicants, particularly those applying to Oxbridge, I offer specialised support with personal statements, interview preparation, and admissions assessments. I also help students identify the topics they’re genuinely passionate about, and encourage them to explore these areas in more depth, developing their independent thinking along the way. I tutor students of all ages in Sociology, Social Anthropology, Geography, English, and Spanish (IB, A level, and undergraduate level), as well as essay writing and university admissions. Lessons are typically 1 hour long.
