*Meet Your Coach – Mr. Banele Nene*
*Founder, Magolide Acting Class*

My name is *Banele Nene*, and I’m not just your acting coach. I’m your witness, your challenger, and your biggest believer.

*Who Am I?*
I’m a performer born and raised right here in kasi, and my love for Dramatic Arts started at *Dedangifunde High School*. That stage was the first place I felt truly powerful. No mic, no fancy lights – just a voice, a story, and a room full of people who finally _listened_. From school plays to community performances, I learned early that acting isn’t pretending. It’s truth-telling. And our stories deserve to be told with excellence.

Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to mastering the craft and passing it on. I’ve worked with students from their very first trembling monologue to booking real auditions. And every single time, I’m reminded: talent lives here. Gold lives here.

*Why Do I Teach?*
1. *Because I Was You* – I remember being the student at Dedangifunde with big dreams but no roadmap. I had to fight for every skill, every opportunity. Now I teach so you don’t have to fight alone. I’m building the class I wish I had at 16.

2. *Because Age 10+ Is Where Magic Starts* – You’re young enough to be fearless and old enough to be disciplined. At 10+, you can grasp real Dramatic Arts Preparation: voice work, character building, emotional truth. I teach because these are the years that shape a performer’s entire future. If I can give you the tools now, you’ll be unstoppable at 20.

3. *Because Our Stories Need Our Voices* – Soweto raised me. This community gave me rhythm, language, pain, and humor. The SA industry is looking for authentic performers, not copies. My job is to make sure when you walk into that audition room, you bring _you_ – trained, polished, and undeniable.

4. *Because Confidence Is Contagious* – Acting saved me. It taught me how to speak up, how to take up space, how to turn nerves into power. I don’t just teach you to perform a scene. I teach you to perform in _life_. That’s why I’m here.

In my class, you won’t be babied and you won’t be ignored. I will see your potential before you do, and I will not let you play small. We’ll work hard, we’ll laugh loud, and we’ll do the scary work of becoming real on stage. Whether you’re 10 or 18, shy or bold, first-timer or experienced – if you show up ready to work, I’ll meet you with everything I’ve got.
