About Imogen

I have always enjoyed teaching and the opportunity it provides to support others in building their confidence and achieving their goals. During my gap year, I worked in a primary school where I supported children of all ages with both academic learning and sport, and I also volunteered at a local primary school during my time at school. These experiences strengthened my passion for teaching and showed me how rewarding it is to help students overcome challenges and develop their skills.

As a Psychology student at Durham University, I understand the pressures and demands of A-Level study, having experienced them myself and currently seeing my brother go through the process. I know how challenging it can be to balance content, revision and exam technique, and I believe that having support from someone with a fresh perspective can make a significant difference as well as the power of practice exam questions. Outside of academics, I love sport and play netball at university as well as learning Scottish reeling, which has been a great opportunity to try something new and get involved in university life. I am excited to use my experiences, enthusiasm and understanding of A-Level Psychology to support students in reaching their full potential.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to support A-Level Psychology students studying the AQA exam board through structured, engaging and exam-focused sessions. Lessons are one hour long, beginning with reviewing key knowledge, understanding difficult concepts, and addressing any areas for improvement before finishing with exam-style practice questions. I provide additional questions for students to complete independently and offer free marking support on any exam questions they submit, helping them develop their exam technique and confidence. I achieved A*AA at A-Level, including an A in Psychology, and I am currently entering my second year studying Psychology at Durham University. I have previous tutoring experience supporting siblings and family friends, and I am excited to extend my support to a wider community of students.
