About Bethany
I am encouraging and supportive of those around me and work empathetically to build up others. Having worked in several teams and held different leadership roles I am a team builder, have great timekeeping skills and always act with professionalism. These are all skills I use as a tutor to create fun but effective sessions with students, allowing them to reach their full potential whilst finding a passion for the subject.

I am a Sociology mentor at Durham University so have lots of experience in guiding students through their studies. Whilst I have not tutored before I am organised, concise and encouraging so are a great tutor. I am extremely passionate about Sociology and have thoroughly enjoyed my 4 years studying the subject, I am keen to help others enhance their learning in order to achieve the best grades possible. Each lesson would be tailored to the student and their particular needs, however lesson plans would typically focus on a module at a time further grouped by Sociological thinking such as `Functionalist thinking`, `Marxist thinking` etc. I find this is an effective way to learn and apply theories within each topic.
