About Esme
I'm a second year History Undergraduate at Durham University, I achieved eight grade 9s at GCSE, and got an overall mark of 159/160 in English Literature. I was working at four A*s at A Level for most of the two years after transferring to Colchester Royal Grammar, and can assure you I know the ins and outs of achieving the best grades possible. I am hugely enthusiastic about written subjects and eager to help those who might not feel the same, as well as those who want to reach the top marks! I understand how this support is hard to find through school alone.

I offer tuition for English Lit/Lang, History, or anything else essay-based you might want to know - I am widely skilled and flexible in this area!
I prefer student-focused activities: I will work with the student, offering them a chance to show me their writing and what they might be struggling with, and then giving them feedback and examples of how I might respond to a similar question.
Practise is also very important. I like to ensure I work with the mark scheme at hand, as I know at GCSE to reach the top marks you must fulfil the criteria as much as possible.
Lessons would be an hour or half an hour depending on preference.
