About Sana

When you sign up for a class, decide to learn something new, your biggest goal should be to apply. And I make sure that my classes are all about that. When we're in class together, we'll talk about the real world and how we'll use the concepts we learn in class in our daily lives. Most importantly, I believe with all my heart, that learning has to be fun, and I make sure that my classes are exactly that. There's no rule that says that you can't be happy while you're absorbing information! I like to play games, have discussions and create fun scenarios so that you remember what happened in class for many days to come, and are able to make connections between our lessons and real life scenarios.

I'm Sana, and my only and ultimate goal is to develop a love for creativity in every child I teach. Creativity comes in all forms - writing a story, selling a product, designing a brochure or even creating a resume. I have a total teaching experience of 8 years, teaching both English and Business studies to elementary and middle school students. I take great pride in saying that my classes are always engaging and interactive, ensuring that my students don't just learn the concepts, but also their application.
I have experience in designing units for both English and business studies, making sure to develop a learning plan that includes interesting activities, current events and projects that are relevant to the real world. I am confident that every child can be successful, which makes it my duty to make concepts accessible for students of all learning capabilities. Whether we're learning persuasive writing or marketing, there's always a way for everyone to learn, practice and apply.

I began my career as a tutor, and after 2 years, I moved to teaching at a middle school. However, in my heart, I know that a one-on-one teaching experience offers a more personalized approach, making sure that the students learn exactly the way they need. My time spent as a teacher in a conventional classroom has taught me how to deal with a variety of students, and how to address individual needs in order to keep everyone up to pace. Teaching in a classroom has taught me how to multitask, and yet, stay focused. Above all else, it has taught me that I will always be learning along with my students. We build off of each other’s creative ideas, creating a path to success in an ever-changing and demanding world.
