About Gralynne
I am an Education student who has training in teaching Afrikaans, English and Arts. I have done practicals at several primary schools and teached several classes. I have also tutored high school learners. I am thoroughly trained in my field.

I believe that teaching should be learner centred. I make use of group work, scaffolding and CLT in order for learners to learn together and build on their own knowledge with me, each other and independently. In my introduction I go into their background knowledge and build on it. In the body of my lesson I introduce and discuss my actual lesson's content while being interactive with learners and asking questions on different cognitive levels. Then my activity follows. And in my conclusion I summarize the work and ask questions again to assess or I let the learners do self assessment and see for themselves how much they have learned.
