About
My name is Katrina and I am a student at the LSE reading Politics and International Relations. As I come from a disadvantaged background, I know very well how powerful education is and so I realize the importance of being able to learn at your own pace so that you can fully comprehend your course. This is precisely what has inspired me to provide tuition and I aim to conduct my sessions shaped around your needs; I will go as fast or as slow as you wish, covering the range of topics you need help with. As I believe that exam technique is pivotal, I recommend covering this in our sessions but as I have said, my time with you will be completely dictated to your needs.
Having recently completed the courses I am offering to tutor, I am very aware of the hurdles you may face and as my grades show, I also know how to overcome them so I am able to guide you to do the same.
Studying Politics and International Relations at degree level, I am clearly passionate about the subject. I am very familiar with the A Level course and I am well versed in the concepts and theories that the course contains. My undergraduate course will help me be better informed about the theories and enable me to bring in broader concepts in our sessions.
Studying Economics and English Literature A Levels, I was deeply interested by the course content and was dedicated to enhancing the skills required to excel in the course, especially in English Literature. I have worked very hard to hone my skills and subject knowledge and so I am ready to impart those to you.
I am an immensely patient and friendly individual and I am very able to move at the pace you need as aforementioned. I have some previous tutoring experience (in English GCSE) which I found very enjoyable. I also found that essential tutoring skills such as flexibility, adaptability and an ability to communicate subject matter clearly came very naturally to me.
