About Molly
I have been working in the education field for the last ten years and in different careers working with children most of my life. I have faced challenging environments like teaching English abroad, but have enjoyed every learning experience that I feel has made me a better educator! Breaking down topics and finding unique and alternative ways to teach them, so that EVERY student can reach understanding is something I thoroughly enjoy and have a deep passion for. Learning is never a one-way street in my opinion and I know that there are so many different ways to present content that can reach ALL students. Making learning as fun as possible and creating engaging lessons are always the goal! I pride myself in deeply getting to know my students, their needs, and preferences so that a student can have the best learning experience possible. Learning is very personal and helping students reach their highest potential, getting to know their learning styles better, and watching them achieve their goals, is a true passion of mine!

I make sure to individualize my lessons to target the student's specific needs or learning targets. Lessons include:
-Completely supported instruction that promotes independent learning as the end goal - I start by modeling a concept, then guide the student through practicing it together, and finally allow them to try it independently once they feel confident.
-Multi-Sensory Learning Approach: I will use visual aids, digital tools, or educational games to keep lessons engaging so that students can learn by "doing" to form a deep understanding of the topic.
-Scaffolding: I will break complex elementary concepts (like long division or reading comprehension) into bite-sized, manageable steps so students never feel overwhelmed.
**I pride myself in making each student feel deeply understood and that learning anything is possible with the proper learning strategies, tools, and approach while also building their confidence in their abilities! Success is always possible when working together!**
