About Andrew
I have worked in education in a variety of capacities for over 15 years. I have been a classroom teacher in both public and private schools. I have taught one-to-one as a tutor, as a support teacher and even in a school with a unique individual model of learning. Over the years I have had the very great pleasure of watching my students and grow and develop, taking what I shared with them and adding their own ideas and insight. I firmly believe that every student is capable of great things and my primary goal is to help students see greatness in themselves.

I have taught students English and History in one-on-one settings both in-person and virtually for years. I can provide support for current classes as well as an array of material custom designed for a student based on their interests, abilities and needs. I am certified to teach grades 7-12 but have worked with students as young as kindergarten level. I have a deep passion for reading, writing and history and create lesson plans with the intention of sharing that passion and sparking interest and excitement. I work at the student's pace, helping them leverage their strengths and develop in areas where they struggle. My empathetic demeanor creates an atmosphere of support and acceptance.
