About Dominic
Twelve years of teaching guitar follows years of touring in rock bands. I hold a Bachelor of Performing Arts, and my stage experience covers everything from pub gigs to festival slots. I teach what band life actually requires, because I have lived it.
My style is energetic and direct. I push students because I believe in them, and they feel that. A shy teenager who joined me five years ago now fronts his own band, and I watched their first headline show from a very proud spot in the crowd.
Electric guitar, rock playing and band preparation are my specialties. We cover tone, technique, repertoire and the professionalism that keeps musicians working. Lessons are loud, focused and fun.

Band life tests skills that bedroom playing never touches. My students practise locking with a bass and drums, using backing tracks before real players. Timing under volume is different, and we train for it.
Electric guitar tone is a lesson subject of its own. We explore pickup choices, amp settings and effects in simple terms. A student who played through a fizzy mess of pedals learned that three good sounds beat twenty bad ones.
Rock repertoire builds the shared language of bands. We study classic riffs and what makes them work, then apply those lessons to original material. Students understand the tradition before they try to extend it.
Rehearsal habits get attention too. Coming prepared, knowing your parts and tuning quickly are professional basics. My students arrive at band practice ready, and their bandmates notice.
