About Paola
My name is Paola Sanabria, I was born in Managua, Nicaragua, but raised in Abilene, Texas. As my parents are missionaries, my family and I moved around a lot. I hold a BA in Education and have experience working with children from preschool to 5th grade and also, ESL to High School students. Since I was young, I have always known that I wanted to be a teacher. I wanted to teach young children not only about Reading or Math but also about what is important in life and what promotes their emotional well-being. I remember the impact teachers had on me when I was a child, both positive and negative. I believe the power of a teacher is underestimated. We can help children believe in themselves, strive to reach their dreams, and become citizens who contribute positively to their community.
