My continuous desire to learn has afforded me the opportunity to be able to share with my students the joy I have for learning, the feeling one gets when one begins to dream and imagine, to experience that flash of insight and the warm feeling of accomplishment. Feelings I would not trade for anything, but, would like to continue to share.
I see learning as a process of making connections, using pieces of information and putting it together to form a larger whole. I strive to be a teacher who allows her students to relate what they learn in class with their lives. I try to help them see how their lives connect with the community that surrounds them; to help them see how the world we live in is all intertwined and interrelated.

Marisa-Sue is an excellent teacher. She has worked with both of my boys, ages 11 and 13, and she has been able to explain things in a way that they understand. She is patient and takes the time to review the information so the boys can process it and then explain it back to her. She has been a blessing! I highly recommend Marisa-Sue!
