About Audrey
I have been an educator for over 20 years. During this time I have worked with infants and up. I believe that all children deserve to have personal attention given to them especially if they are not feeling confident about the material. It's important for ur next generation of children to be able to read which of course includes them understanding what they are reading.

I've noticed student enjoy starting off with an ice breaker usually a word association. Then we review the last sessions work or the assigned homework. In this way I can ascertain if the students are comfortable with the work and more importantly understand it. Then we begin the weeks' work and we go through everything step by step. I encourage my students to reread a text until they are comfortable with the material and can explain what the story, poem, etc. is about. During our sessions I also provide students with vocabulary words on their grade level with the definitions. Part of their (hw) assignment is to put these words into sentences which help me to ascertain that they truly understand the words and the meanings.
