Mr Reuben here is a bright and sunny person. You will never see him with a "black face" which I think is important because it really sets the mood for a conductive learning class . He teaches with ample patience and has such excellent pronunciation that you can catch clearly how a word should be pronounced. He is also versatile and will set a speed of learning suitable for each individual.

Reuben is an excellent teacher who makes learning Mandarin interesting and engaging. If you are looking to take your Chinese to a higher level, Reuben has gone above and beyond my expectations. In 3 months, my Chinese has improved tremendously when I started around a HSK level 3.

Before I started lessons with Reuben in January, I had the vocabulary and reading of around HSK3 which covers a lot of the basics, but I lacked the fluency to string sentences flexibly with an accurate structure and grammar which resulted in awkwardly conveyed intent. When I started looking for teachers, this was the particular area I wanted to focus on.

In 3 months Reuben has tailored lessons covering professional and non-professional introductions, relationships, restaurant ordering, connective structures and a lot of but absolutely necessary grammar which I have found invaluable.

Putting the Chinese teacher aside Reuben's English is for sure native level (coming from a Brit). Additionally, I feel that his broad cultural knowledge enriches the learning experience which is most apparent when explaining the subtler ways that culture affects the sentence structure and then show how to better convey intent.
