About Francisco
I am a mechanical engineer and physicist with a master in Applied Mathematics. I have been giving lessons for over 8 years to fellow classmates during my degrees. For the last 3 years I have taught my own class (Calculus I and II) at Arizona State University while I conduct my PhD studies.
While I teach Calculus at ASU, I have tutored in all areas of science, focusing on courses of Math/Physics/Engineering degrees, always improving my students grades and knowledge.

My teaching method is very concept- and example-based. The goal is to understand the core concepts and be able to build knowledge from them. We will use easy examples to explain the core concepts of each lesson. Once they are clear, we will move on to more challenging problems.
For students who have a good understanding of the material but need help with the applications, I can also accommodate a purely problem-based style of tutoring.
I like to keep the tone of the class casual and friendly so students feel comfortable asking any questions.

Kiko truly enjoys tutoring. He always tries to relate everything to how I might use it in my future career which makes it a lot more interesting to me. He explains everything super clearly and helped me understand everything a lot better. He even switched to zoom tutoring when we all had to start staying at home. Best tutor I've ever had!
