About Lina
My fascination with engineering began with curiosity about how the world’s structures and devices function. Over the past ten years, I have pursued both study and hands-on experience, learning to combine technical knowledge with practical application. Teaching engineering allows me to share this expertise while inspiring students to think critically, innovate, and approach challenges with confidence. Witnessing a student progress from uncertainty to understanding is deeply rewarding and fuels my passion for mentorship. I teach with empathy, patience, and adaptability, recognising that each student has unique strengths and learning styles. I use structured guidance, real-world examples, and problem-solving exercises to ensure that students not only understand concepts but develop confidence in applying them. Encouragement and clarity are at the core of my approach, helping learners embrace challenges with curiosity and resilience. Outside of teaching, I continue to explore emerging technologies, innovative design techniques, and sustainable engineering practices. This ongoing learning ensures that I bring the most relevant, practical, and inspiring content to my students. Engineering, to me, is not just a career—it is a mindset, a way of thinking, and a lifelong passion. Guiding students to discover and embrace this mindset is my greatest fulfilment.

Engineering is the art and science of creating solutions that bridge imagination and reality. In my lessons, I emphasise understanding concepts through practical application, helping students see how theory manifests in real-world systems, structures, and devices. I foster a supportive and structured learning environment where curiosity is encouraged, questions are welcomed, and problem-solving becomes a creative, engaging process. Lessons are designed to help students develop both confidence and technical precision, making learning both intellectually stimulating and practically relevant. By connecting theory to tangible examples, students understand not only how things work but why they work, which strengthens their reasoning and analytical abilities. Beginners focus on fundamental principles such as forces, motion, energy, materials, and simple design. Intermediate learners apply mathematics and physics to analyse systems, solve structured problems, and undertake small design projects. Advanced students explore complex engineering topics including mechanics, electrical circuits, structural analysis, and design methodologies. Lessons include project planning, research tasks, and real-world application exercises, ensuring students learn to approach challenges systematically, think critically, and develop innovative solutions. Support for assignments, exam preparation, and technical tasks is integrated throughout to cultivate competence and confidence. Through engineering study, students gain analytical skills, creative problem-solving ability, and a new perspective on the world. They learn to assess challenges, design solutions, and think critically about systems and processes. The ultimate goal is to empower students to feel capable of tackling real-world problems with precision, creativity, and confidence, preparing them for further study or careers in engineering and technology.
