About Hazel
Hello! I'm Hazel!
I'm a student teacher with two years of experience teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL) in Irish secondary schools. I have worked with students from a wide range of language backgrounds and English proficiency levels, helping them develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. My lessons are personalized, engaging, and designed to suit each student's individual needs and learning style. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel confident to ask questions, practice their English, and achieve their goals. My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs and learning style. I use interactive activities, real-life communication, and differentiated teaching strategies to build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing English.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, with shorter sessions available for younger learners if required.
Student teacher (secondary) with experience teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL) to students aged 12–18. I have worked with learners of all English levels and have experience supporting students with additional learning needs, including dyslexia.
Suitable for children and teenagers (ages 12–18) learning English as an Additional Language, from beginner to advanced level. Lessons are ideal for students looking to improve their conversational English, academic English, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and confidence.
