About Lauren
I have lived in Scotland most of my life, having grown up in Glasgow and studied in Aberdeen. I recently moved to Bristol to start work as a secondary school MFL teacher.
I graduated in French and Spanish with first class honours from the University of Aberdeen in 2020. I have been learning French since I was 9 years old, and Spanish since I was 13.
During lockdown, I completed an online TEFL course. It was a 120-hour course and had modules on teaching vocabulary and grammar, teaching large classes and online classes, and more.
I completed the PGDE at the University of Aberdeen this year and completed 18 weeks of placement across two different schools. Through the course I learned a lot about pedagogy, and I feel confident that I can help students identify useful strategies for learning.
