About Sorrell
I love teaching - it is my passion and that is why I have made it my career. Most recently I have been teaching garden classes in rural Colorado. I hold an early childhood through the grade teaching license and I am also a certified yoga teacher. As an avid rock climbing, skier, baker and language learner, I love learning too! I believe that having a learning and growth mindset allows me to be the best educator I can be.
I pride myself in being professional . Having worked with young children, parents, teenagers and other adult professionals throughout my career, I have learned that communication and professionalism are important skills to possess as a teacher.

I make my lessons fun, relevant and challenging. I work hard to learn about my students so I can meet your needs. A typical lesson plan starts with some chat and getting to know each other and you sharing your goals. Then we work on the main part of the lesson through a variety of activities, sometimes games! Then we will summarize what we have covered and I give feedback on what you are doing successfully and some things to work on.
As I have been in education for over 15 years now, I have a solid understanding of how to form relationship with students and meet them where they are at. As a life long learner myself, I strive to instill the same passion for learning in all my students.
