About James
I have had an eclectic background and life, but at the core has always been teaching... be it through academia, film, martial arts or any of my varied interests. This passion and energy flows through my lessons and really helps learners engage with the material and hopefully have some fun doing so. With no shortage of 'pop' references and also support in Key Skills to prepare you for your future, you will feel confident and excited to move forward in life and hopefully with a smile. I break-down examination requirements and make them wholly understandable so you know what to do, why you are doing it and how to prepare for the best possible outcome.

I have a very friendly but organised approach with a great knowledge of pop culture (through my film/TV work and my own kids). This really helps me connect lessons to a learners life and experience. My teaching is very career orientated, helping learners understand the whys and wherefores and how this can help them in life. I have a knack of being able to break down examination criteria to bitesize digestible chunks- this builds a students confidence in writing efficiently to gain better results and time-managing their responses to stimuli.
