About Julie
I have taught English in high school for ten years, taught university students in uni and online while doing doctoral studies, and have tutored primary and high school students for 19 years. Many of these students were in selective high schools. I love teaching one on one and in small groups, and enjoy sharing information and being part of students’ learning experience. I am very interested in writing and poetry.

My specialties are essay writing, grammar and creative writing, and I am interested in working with students to resolve their literacy issues. Pre-testing is done first, so each student’s writing style and comprehension skills can inform my preparation of an appropriate program for each student. I take into account individual learning styles, as an important aspect of any teaching approach.

Details
My rate is $35 for one hour for high school English tutoring, $30 one hour for an initial ESL lesson, then $25 each hour for subsequent lessons.
