About Emily
I am a friendly and approachable First Class BSc Psychology graduate with two Grade 9s in GCSE English. Through both my degree and academic experience, I have developed strong essay-writing, analytical, and communication skills, and I am passionate about helping students improve their confidence and ability in English.
I currently work as a Learning Support Assistant at an FE college, where I support young people with their GCSE studies. This has given me valuable experience working with students of different abilities and learning styles, allowing me to provide patient, encouraging, and tailored support to help each student reach their potential.

My one-hour online lessons provide structured support for GCSE English Language and Literature, helping students work towards grades 4–9. Lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs and focus on building confidence, improving essay-writing skills, and developing a strong understanding of texts and exam techniques.
I use supportive teaching methods such as detailed feedback, repetition, guided practice, and effective revision strategies to help students make steady progress and achieve results. I aim to create a kind, friendly, and encouraging learning environment where students can learn at their own pace and feel comfortable asking questions about both the content and the exams.
