About Lucie
I am originally from Belgium (French is my native language), and have been living in Ireland for 14 years. I have gone through the process of learning English myself (sat English aptitude tests such as ETAPP and IELTS). I completed my level 8 degree in Social and Community Studies here in Ireland (First Class Honours), and worked in the Youth Work sector for six years. I greatly enjoy working with people from all backgrounds and nationalities, and I have at heart the desire to give something back by helping others with their English!

I favour a student-centred approach! I enjoy getting to know you in order to tailor the lessons to your skills and interests. The focus of the lessons can range from Language Skills (Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening) to Grammar, Vocabulary, and functional language, revolving around themes of your interest. I am qualified to teach A2 to B2 levels (CELTA qualified), with experience in delivering online classes, and previous experience in giving French Language lessons also.

Lucie was a trainee on an online CELTA course that I delivered at UCC, Ireland, in 2024. She was popular both with students and her peers, contributing to input and Teaching Practice sessions thoughtfully and sensitively.
