About Dan
I am an English language teacher, specialising in helping professionals develop practical, real-world English skills.
I hold a Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE) in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), Applied Linguistics and Pedagogy, providing a strong foundation in language pedagogy, structured lesson planning and effective teaching methods.
I bring over 7 years of experience teaching in both English and Norwegian, across language and technology-related subjects. This enables me to adapt my teaching style to different learning needs and professional contexts.
With a background in IT and finance, I understand the communication challenges professionals face when working internationally. This allows me to tailor lessons to real business environments and professional situations.

My lessons are tailored to individuals who are planning to live and work in the English-speaking part of the world, with a focus on communication, cultural understanding and confidence in both everyday and professional situations.
With a background in IT and finance, I understand the communication challenges professionals face and incorporate real-life scenarios such as meetings, job interviews and workplace interaction into my teaching.
Sessions are structured, engaging and adapted to your goals, whether you are starting from beginner level or preparing for relocation. I combine clear explanations with practical exercises such as role-play, real-life scenarios, and applied tasks, including workplace communication and job interview preparation. Lessons are designed to build confidence step by step, ensuring that you can use English effectively in real-life situations from an early stage.
I recommend two hours at the time, but can also teach 60-minute sessions if preferred.
