About Saul

I am a student, but I have taught English as a foreign language for a few years, to students of all backgrounds and all levels. I have taught students from complete beginner level up to CEFR B2 and C1 level. I can offer a very wide range of teaching approaches and learning methods to help you achieve your goals very quickly and in the best way for you.

I speak fluent German, Russian and Chinese, and I’ve studied other languages too, so I have a very good understanding of the most effective methods for learning a language quickly.

I am very friendly, approachable and encouraging, I have good conversation skills and a good sense of humour. I always want to make lessons interesting for you, so I like to tailor lessons to your specific needs, goals and interests. People learn best when they’re interested!

About the lesson

I try to have a varied and flexible approach to suit everyone. I approach different topics methodically, and have a wide range of resources suitable for different people at different levels. I try to help people learn in a more natural way, without too much focus on scary grammar and other complicated things. I find that grammar is best learned naturally rather than by rote learning complex rules. I try to encourage my students to speak English all the time and to think in English. Sometimes, people lack confidence, but I’m very encouraging and I can help people overcome their anxiety.

Most importantly, I have lots of experience with learning difficult languages myself. I’ve experienced everything that you’re going through, so I can be sympathetic, and we can move at a pace that suits you. I place emphasis on teaching my students powerful methods to help them learn more efficiently and progress very quickly. Many people don’t know HOW to learn a language, and learning how to speak English before you actually have good methods to do so is like trying to run before you can walk!
