About Christian
Hi, I'm Christian. I'm Irish (accents not too strong don't worry!) born in Hong Kong where I lived until 2 years ago. I've had an international education at the French International School Hong Kong followed by a more typically British education at Sedbergh School in the lake district. The diversity in student body and teaching focus led to a keen interest in how perspective and context changes how one understands key texts or historical movements. Studying in Brighton added another side of contextual understanding whilst not as big a shift as French School Hong Kong to Sedbergh in the north it definitely broadened my understanding of perception based on environment be it geographical or political. I hope to bring this breadth of understanding to the plethora of different types of students/learners I'll have the great opportunity and responsibility to tutor.

To try to have a comfortable relationship with my Student encouraging a fun, positive, and calm learning experience.
My focus with reading, understanding, and teaching is the importance of subtext. To understand fully a piece of text one has to try and read between the lines, in conjunction with good contextual knowledge makes a more fulfilling learning experience.
