About Lizzie
I am an English Literature & Drama graduate from The University of Birmingham, who has experience working in a secondary school as an English teacher, teaching both KS3 & KS4. I taught both full classes and tutored one-to-one, and helped struggling GCSE students achieve their target grade. My one-to-one lessons helped one year 8 student rocket from a U grade (below level 1) to a strong level 4. This occurred in the space of four weeks, and was the product of my enthusiasm, method of teaching and belief in this student, combined with his hard work and resilience.

I'm a 22 year old graduate, who is willing to give lessons to students studying KS3, KS4 (GCSE) and A level. A current student I have is currently beginning his year 12 A level study, therefore I am extremely flexible in terms of my confidence with all academic levels.
I believe that a student should have a friendly tutor whom they are able to confide in; I've always built good relationships with all of my students, and am very enthusiastic and easy to talk to - to say the least, all lessons, however challenging, will always be fun! My speciality is making difficult texts 'translatable' to young people, and relay them in a way that is easy to relate to and understand.
