About Robyn

I currently work as a 1:1 teaching assistant in a primary school setting. I also work with students in small group interventions focusing on spelling, writing, phonics, reading and math skills. I assist in a variety of lessons all at primary education level, these include English, Maths, Religious Studies, and Science. Additionally, English Language and Literature are my strongest subjects due to English Literature being the specialised field in which I completed my university degree. I graduated from the University of Brighton in 2017 and was awarded the Degree of Bachelor of Arts with Second Class Honours (2:1) in Media and English Literature.

Furthermore, I offer an essay/ letter proofreading service and a CV/cover letter editing service.

I hold an up to date DBS certificate.

I currently work with children ages 6-11. However, have the knowledge and ability to teach up to GCSE level.

I've had practical experience teaching English as a foreign language whilst I was traveling. I was lucky enough to spend a month teaching English at a school in Cambodia called Stichting Beetje Beter. This experience was amazing and I have plans to return to the school in the future. Also, I have recently obtained a job teaching English online to European students age range between 6-16.

About the lesson

My teaching methods depend largely on the individual, their needs and learning styles. I hold a positive and engaging energy, and love to get creative whilst teaching. Most of all I have a great willingness to learn and enjoy helping others to learn. My teaching style displays enthusiasm and encouragement in creating a warm and consistent environment in which learners can thrive. Students will find me nurturing, challenging but mostly passionate about my subject. I am flexible and supportive in my approach; differentiating lessons for the students' specific needs. My goal is to enable learners through positive support and guidance to exceed their own expectations.

Subjects
English Primary level up to English Language, and Literature GCSE level.

Location
I am based in Salisbury/Wiltshire and am available to travel to students homes (price to be discussed prior to the lesson via email/phone to cover travel costs). Prodimantly I teach online using Skype.

Availability
I am available weekdays from 4-8pm and on Saturdays.

Rates may vary according to the level of the student and the distance which may need to be traveled.

Cancelation policy:
If a lesson is canceled less than 48 hours prior to the lesson starting you will still be expected to pay the hourly rate.
