About Ronin
I am a 26 year old Literature graduate and enthusiast with interests ranging from Classics to Astronomy and Philosophy. My primary passion is Literature, I truly believe that Literature is one of the most important subjects you can study. Literature allows us to develop our empathy, understanding of others and allows us to experience things that would usually be beyond the scope of our own lives and times; it allows us to walk in someone else's shoes, think with their ideas, and sympathise with their sufferings. As such, I am a caring and understanding individual, easy to get along with and empathetic toward the struggles that come with academia.

Expect a friendly and understanding environment, where there is no such thing as a stupid question and curiosity is encouraged and nurtured! Literature is not a subject with right and wrong answers, my number one priority will be to help you develop your literary abilities and skills so that you are able to express and cultivate your own ideas regarding the subjects of our study. I can assist you to develop literary skills such as your general understanding of Literature and its common themes, your ability to critically analyse text, draw conclusions, make comparisons, evaluate historical contexts and much more depending upon the focus of our lessons. The structure of the lessons will be tailored to your individual needs, exam board and academic goals; this is something we will discuss initially, allowing me to provide the best and most valuable use of our time together. The lessons will typically last for one hour, this is flexible depending on your requirements and schedule. For Literature we will be working through exercises such as close reading, critically analysing and closely comparing the text/s that you are studying, examining them in their historical contexts and drawing comparisons to our own. Lessons and tutoring available for all ages, Primary/Secondary Education, BTEC, GCSE and A-Level.
