About Cristina
For over a year, I have been supporting children with one-on-one reading and writing sessions weekly at a local charity called Hackney Pirates.
Through that experience, I have gained the skills of patience and motivation-spreading, as well as the ability to quickly adapt to each student's needs, as I was allocated a different child each week.
I also spent nearly a month assisting in English lessons at a refugee camp in Greece, where my teacher-student communication skills increased dramatically, and I plan on doing more in the future.

The harsh unfortunate reality with GCSE's & A-Levels is you need to know how to pass the exam, not the subject...
Questions you may be asking... 'How do you even revise for English Literature ?' 'What even makes a 'good' essay in the examiner's eyes?'
Having achieved grade 9 in English Literature and Language GCSEs, and having recently finished my English Cambridge Pre-U, where I achieved a D2 (A* a-level equivalent), I understand exactly how it is we youth need to revise for these brain wracking exams, and what it is we need to do to prepare for them !
My teaching methods vary with each student, as I try to cater the lessons specific to the student's needs. Top priorities to me is : efficiency, ensuring the student knows what to be doing and how outside lessons, and of course, actually enjoying the lessons and subject ! For any Shakespeare students out there, believe me my passion for studying it will be contagious :)
For those out there looking for reading support, I am incredibly patient (I understand how easy it is for one to say.. you'll just have to take my word.. ).
