About Simi
Hi my name is Simi! I'm currently in second year studying for a MA in English Literature at the University of Edinburgh.
I am passionate about helping other students fulfil their academic potential and succeed in general class work and public examinations, despite how they may feel about a subject. I have previously volunteered tutoring at several primary and secondary schools, therefore have experience catering to a range of ages and levels.
I personally took Edexcel and Cambridge IGCSE however am comfortable teaching all syllabi. I received 9A*'s and 1 A at GCSE, and 2A*'S and 1 A at A-Level, and also sat 16+ entrance exams at several top London independent schools where I received places which I am also happy to discuss with possible applicants.
I am acutely aware how stressful it can be to feel unsteady with vital academic material so my aim for these sessions is to make them as interesting as possible for students, whilst also providing a solid and secure understanding of the fundamentals. I hope that students can return from these tutorials to the classroom more comfortable and excited to learn whether at GCSE or A-Level.

By working through coursework essays, my personal notes, and past papers (MCQ and SAQ diagnostic quizzes, as well as full papers) I aim to provide my students with a comprehensive understanding of the subject area, filling in any gaps from their own class work.
