About Grace
Hello! My name is Grace, and I am passionate about learning and helping others discover the joys of English literature. My journey has not been without its challenges. I have experienced exam anxiety and understand firsthand how overwhelming it can be. This personal experience has equipped me with empathy and practical strategies to help students manage their own anxiety and perform to the best of their abilities. In addition, I have mild dyslexia, which has taught me the importance of perseverance and adaptability in learning. I have developed effective techniques to navigate and overcome the difficulties associated with dyslexia, and I am committed to helping students find their own strategies for success. I believe that every student is unique, and my goal is to provide a supportive and customised learning experience tailored to each individual’s needs. My approach is based on understanding and addressing the specific challenges my students face, whether it's exam anxiety, learning differences, or building confidence in their abilities.

We will begin with a discussion about your current understanding of English literature, your academic goals, and any specific areas you want to focus on. Based on the initial assessment, I will create a customised lesson plan that targets your strengths and addresses your weaknesses. Each session will begin with a brief discussion about what we covered previously and any questions you might have. This helps in reinforcing knowledge and clearing up any doubts. We will dive into the main topics of the session, whether it’s analysing a particular text, exploring literary themes, or practising essay writing. But overall, this about achieving what is best for you! I have many techniques from my own personal studies that push the boundaries of standard teaching in the classroom to help develop understanding and memory.
