About Tyler
I’m currently studying Psychology at university, which has strengthened my understanding of how people learn, process information, and build confidence in academic subjects. My passion for English comes from years of reading — it’s been a huge part of my life, and it naturally led me into studying English Literature and Language at A-level, where I achieved an A, alongside a Grade 9 at GCSE.
My interest in tutoring began when I helped friends improve their English grades, and seeing their progress made me realise how much I enjoy supporting others. I love breaking down response structures, explaining context clearly, and helping students find their own analytical voice. Teaching feels like a natural extension of both my academic background and my personal interests, and I’m excited to help students feel more confident and capable in their exams.

I offer personalised English Language (Edexcel GCSE) and Combined English Language & Literature (AQA A-level) tutoring, focused on building strong exam-ready responses. My lessons put emphasis on clear response structure, effective analysis, and the contextual understanding exam boards look for.
Although I’m new to tutoring, I bring proven academic strength — a Grade 9 in GCSE English and an A at A-level — alongside a friendly, supportive teaching style. Lessons are at least one hour, and students can choose how long and how often they’d like sessions each week.
