Depending on the level of understand I use both shared and guided reading approach to create a relaxing learning environment. TPR (total physical response) keeps the student engaged and familiarizing them with action to word, thereafter I use action and wait for the student to say the word. The time feels like fun while accomplishing basic phrases.
