About Nicole
I am currently a final year student that is studying a Bachelor of Education in the Further Education and Training phase at the University of South Africa. I have always enjoyed working with children of any age as it is the most rewarding thing to see them progress. I have experience in teaching children from the ages of 6 to 18 in different subjects and had had the liberty to do so at Excelsior Private School. I have learned how to work under pressure by having more than one grade in a classroom. We had to learn how to allocate marks and work them out manually.
I have tutored many children with special needs as well as teaching a child with cerebral palsy and setting papers appropriate to his physical impairment. The most important part of the job is to have the passion. This is the way it should be when working with children. The challenge is not to compare any child to another, each child is unique and his/her strengths may lie somewhere else, but to find that ‘je ne sais quoi’ and build on their strengths.
