About Emma
I am a fourth year student studying education with a focus on English as a Second Language - ESL. I have experience teaching children aged 5-13, and love to see both kids and adults learn and grow confident in their skills.
In my degree program I have studied linguistics, classroom management, and developmental psychology, which I believe has offered me a full picture of what goes in to learning a new language.

Though I have never taught an ESL class, when teaching other subjects I love to become a learner with my students. By seeing the world through their eyes, I believe a teacher is better able to understand the motivations and struggles their student has. This attitude combined with knowledge of both English and the mechanics of language acquisition is the foundation for how I teach.
