Hi! I'm Charlie. I'm a 25-year-old from England on a working holiday until April 2026. I've been playing guitar since I was 12 and have learned almost entirely independently. I have 10+ years tutoring at home, mostly in mathematics but I'm much more passionate about teaching guitar. I'm very easy-going and open to everybody's different learning preferences. About the lesson

My aim as a teacher is to teach you the basics of guitar, so that you have a solid foundation to explore the instrument. You will learn the most important chords, keys, scales and techniques so that you'll not only be able to play just about every song in the world, but to improvise and write your own! Perhaps you have an image of the style of music and songs you want to learn, in which case we will go over those specifically.

As a self taught guitarist, I know that the most important skill to learn is how to learn. It can seem like a daunting process at first and it can take some time to hear yourself improve, but I hope to show you how to practice in a way that doesn't seem like a chore but an exciting adventure!

I have an electric and acoustic guitar so can teach either style and am available 7 days a week to give lessons online or in person, although I find that it is far more effective to learn in person. If you are interested or have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch!
