About Laura
I have an MA in Art History and an MA in teaching English to speakers of other languages. I have tutored high school students and taught freshman English at both a state university and community colleges. I love helping my students learn and discover new abilities they didn't know they had.

My teaching style is student-centered. First, I'm a good listener. I adjust my teaching style to each student's learning style. I think practice and repetition builds better skills. I am prepared to go at your pace, whatever that may be. And whenever possible, I love to add a bit of humor in my teaching!
