About Aideen
I loved my work as a teacher and was sad to retire. I feel that I have an enormous amount of knowledge and understanding about dyslexia which I would like to continue to share. I am pretty sure that I am neurodivergent myself so I usually form strong bonds with my students.

About the lesson

The first class is an assessment when I gauge the student’s strengths and weaknesses. Then I make a plan of work which uses their strengths to overcome their weaknesses. I am particularly good at teaching children to read. I use a very structured and fun reading scheme and a variety of approaches to phonics.
