About Melandi

I am a dedicated teacher with a passion for languages and love to meet people from different cultures. I am currently learning Mandarin. I have a 168 hour TEFL/TESOL Diploma and have been teaching for one year. I am able to teach all levels, although my classes are aimed at low-intermediate and intermediate students. I love to teach and to have real life conversations. I adapt each lesson according to my student's needs, goals and interests.

About the lesson

My classes help students to actively participate through customized activities that create a student-centered learning environment.
Students can expect active participation through varied activities (like interactive videos or quizzes) and a relaxed environment with opportunities to ask questions and learn, while building confidence.
I offer supportive and encouraging feedback and correct pronunciation and grammar where needed.
My lessons are specifically designed for low-intermediate and intermediate students who have a basic grasp of the language but need to build confidence, expand their vocabulary, and improve their conversational fluency.
I'm proficient in and able to teach English and Afrikaans.
I help build listening, speaking, writing and reading skills.
I love to see people's growth and development when learning a language and I hope to meet you on this journey!
