About Gyan
Hello! I’m Gyan, a Bachelor’s graduate from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) with a deep passion for English language and literature. I’ve spent years exploring both classic and modern works: from Jane Austen and the Brontë sisters to Charles Dickens, George Orwell, Dostoevsky, and Franz Kafka. Having learned English through the translation method (Hindi–English) myself, I understand how effective it can be for Indian learners. Over time, I’ve combined that approach with grammar and literature-based learning to create lessons that are both structured and engaging. I love helping students not only learn English but also feel confident using it whether in writing, conversation, or academic study. My classes focus on real understanding, not rote memorization, and I make sure each student progresses at a comfortable pace. My classes are based on the English–Hindi translation method, a widely used and effective approach for Indian learners. It helps students understand not just what to say in English, but why it’s said that way. I follow a three-step pattern that builds complete command over the language: English Translation Practice – Strengthens thinking and expression in English through guided translation from Hindi. English Grammar & Structure – Explains the logic and rules behind the sentences you use. Literature & Reading – Enhances comprehension, vocabulary, and appreciation through authors like Austen, Dickens, Orwell, and Kafka. This method ensures that every student develops both accuracy and confidence - whether for exams, writing, or spoken communication. Classes are interactive, concept-based, and tailored to your current level. I also share reading materials and exercises to make learning enjoyable and progressive. My aim is to help you think, speak, and feel in English, not just translate it.
