About Daniel
Hello, I’m Daniel and I want to help you to speak English more confidently. I live near Chicago and speak with a very common American accent. After a business career working in market research and strategic analysis, I now focus on teaching and learning languages. I have channeled my love of language into learning Spanish and basic Portuguese and have traveled to many countries in Latin America.
I help students to prepare for presentations at work or at school. We work together on targeted areas that the student wants or needs to work on. The main thing is to keep it relevant and engaging for you the student! I began coaching English language learners in 2018 and began coaching online in 2020.

If you would like to improve your English to do better at work then I think you in the right place. You may need to understand better or to speak more clearly in presentations and conversations. You may need to write more clearly to improve professionally or academically. You are doing the right thing looking for a coach. It takes a lot of work and practice for an adult language learner to move up from an intermediate to an advanced level. I am doing this myself as I advance in Spanish and Portuguese. I know what works for me and I would like to help you as well.
We will begin our journey together with conversation. We want to learn to know each other. We may want to talk about your job, career path, and issues with work. We may want to talk about how English can help you to grow personally as well. Depending on your needs and goals we can then discuss business cases, Tedtalks, videos on YouTube, writing that you do for work or for school, or focus on any English language issues that we identify for improvement. We may also practice role plays involving communicating with a customer, with a colleague, or with your boss. We can review communications or presentations that you are doing on the job. I want to coach you as you develop English skills that you can apply professionally as well as personally.
Finally, as we share more experiences we will identify more areas where we can improve and grow your capabilities. These may be difficult words or expressions or even concepts that are hard to talk about. We will work together to give you the tools that you need to handle these hard subjects. As you practice speaking and understanding the more difficult areas of the English language you will find that you are gaining confidence and that your conversation feels more natural.
