About Caitlin
Before deciding on a career in counselling and clinical psychology, I was set on becoming an English teacher. I have never particularly engaged with my teachers during education and can understand why certain teaching approaches can discourage students from wanting to improve their English and thus wanted to provide a refreshing, new approach in order to motivate students and change their attitudes on English.
Using my psychology knowledge from University, I can recognise different mannerisms which indicate a student becoming less engaged with a lesson and will find a different approach in order to make the student feel comfortable and increase engagement.

I have experience assisting primary school students in SPAG and reading as well as experience tutoring Year 11 grammar school students for their English GCSEs. Past students of mine have improved their grades from Grade 5 (equivalent to a "C") to Grade 9 (equivalent to a high "A*") with my support!
I provide fun activities, worksheets, mock exam preparation and a personal approach to tutoring, encouraging the students to guide the lessons to cater to their specific strengths and weaknesses depending on their ages ◡̈
I'm currently a Russell Group University student so can also offer guidance on choosing the best University for each pupil and can also provide professional CV creating guidance and advice as a 20 year old who has been working for 5 years.
