About Alexander
Who I am
• I graduated from Moscow State Linguistic University, Department of Psychology and Pedagogical Anthropology.
• As part of my university curriculum, I completed specialized courses in English grammar and country history studies.
• I have over 20 years of experience in individual English tutoring.
• I speak three foreign languages: English, German, and Romanian, which I am currently studying intensively. That is why I know not only how to teach a language, but also how to learn one — what works and what does not.
My principles
• There is no topic that cannot be explained; there is only insufficient tutor qualification.
• I do not use the word “memorize”. I use “understand” and “practice”.
• If you work intelligently and consistently, results will come.
• The only person who cannot learn a foreign language is a dead one.

• strive to understand not only the English language itself, but also the cultural, historical, and political context of the UK and the US.
How I work
• During the first meeting, we discuss your language background, identify your level, get to know each other, and choose the best format of work.
• Then I design a program based on your goals.
• We do not leave results to chance, so the work is systematic and intensive.
• We use interactive materials from Oxford University Press, one of the world leaders in educational publishing.
• Online coursebooks are convenient to use, and the auto-check function in the workbook helps optimize lesson time: instead of spending too much time on minor mistakes, we can focus on what really matters.
• I also use additional grammar materials: both classic resources such as Murphy and Oxford University Press materials, and special exercises designed by me to close specific gaps and bring new skills into spoken English, making your speech more accurate and clearer.
• To expand vocabulary and improve listening skills, we also use home reading and TV series — with follow-up discussion, of course — to make your spoken English richer and more varied.
• At the lessons, we aim to speak as much English as possible. From a certain level, lessons are conducted entirely in English, including grammar explanations.
• I am always ready to share something interesting about the history, culture, and politics of the UK and the US. It is important not only to master the language, but also to understand the people who speak it — this makes it easier to achieve your goals.
