I have 6 years experience in teaching English. I have taught English in Japan and Spain for children and adults, both individually and in groups, in conversation classes, to study for TOEFL exams, and to help scientists and women and business men to improve their levels.

I give private lessons at all levels for children and adults. I use both the Cambridge method and free materials. I am both American and British, born in the state of Vermont, in New England, and yet I consider myself a Londoner as much as an inhabitant of Vermont. Home is where the heart is! I have lived and worked in the US, Japan, UK, France and Spain. I have been in Spain for a little over four years, and I am new in Badajoz. I love to travel. I have a passion for foreign cultures and languages, and have always been studying. I speak French and Spanish, and have studied Japanese and Italian, which has enough to survive when traveling. During my career in market research I hired and trained people from all over the world, and has worked on projects in more than 80 countries. I have acquired an innate sensitivity to working with people who speak English as a foreign language. I am adaptable, and customized according to individual needs and preferences, from small children to business people. I pay close attention to vocabulary, idioms and pronunciation. Each person has different needs, so my classes are very personalized.
