About Gabriela

I am a native Spanish speaker from Peru, with a very clear accent, who has experience working with people that are learning the language from scratch or with people who would like to perfect their Spanish. I successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree in Science of Communication at Universidad de San Martin de Porres. I have over 2 years' experience working as a private Spanish tutor through individual or group lessons in Shropshire and Powys. I prepare and provide fun, affordable and personalised Spanish lessons that effortlessly fit into my students’ needs, interests and busy schedules. My students range from teenagers studying for their GCSEs and A-Levels to adult students who are learning Spanish for work or travel. I’d love to meet you and schedule time to talk about the reasons why you’ll want to learn Spanish. Also, discuss your interests, needs and explore how I may be able to work with you towards your learning.

About the lesson

I use the Communicative Method which means students are encouraged to speak and interact as much as possible in the classroom. During the lessons students are presented with a variety of resources and texts exploring Spanish and Latin American culture, current affairs, and issues that will interest students. I will provide the necessary support to help the students build their vocabulary, work on their grammar, and improve their writing and speaking skills. My classes encourage the development of the four key language skills: speaking, writing, reading and listening.
