About Mulan
I have a very friendly and approachable character, and my priority is to make students feel at ease to ask questions and be a tutor with whom they can connect and talk freely with.
I am 16 and still a student, and so can easily interact with younger students or children. I have plentiful experience with teaching younger students with English, reading, and Maths, and I thought it was time I offer my services for a subject I genuinely love and am passionate about.
I have vast pool of background knowledge about the French language, as I also take Classical Greek and Latin which give me good foundations for vocabulary and understanding grammar and syntax. I am a proud languages-nerd, and spend most of my time watching French TV shows, reading Homer, or running the school Languages Club.

I have a wide variety of resources, from textbooks (compréhension orale, compréhension écrite, production orale and production écrite), as well as from material created by myself.
I am flexible with content of lessons, aiming to make students comfortable but suitably challenged by catering to their specific target areas and giving them a personalised plan.
Example lesson would be:
- Short chat in French about their day
- Going through questions from school or homework
- Practice for a specific area, for example a grammatical concept (l’imparfait, le gerondif, le subjonctif présent…) through a medium the student prefers (e.g worksheet, practice test, looking at examples from magazines, media, etc.)
However, I am more than willing to format lessons in any way so that my student can make the most out of their time with me.
