About Sarah
I’m Sarah!
I’m a teacher of all things craft! Currently I work as a freelance sewing teacher for a social enterprise, but I have several years of teaching design technology in schools across England and Scotland. Before that, I was a fashion designer and worked in the industry for a few years before pivoting into education - the best move I ever made!
I love helping others learn, master skills and unlock their creativity. I am patient, supportive and have contagious amounts of enthusiasm for my subject and lessons!

My lessons are engaging, visual and adaptable. I aim to be led by the student, so if that means you learn best by singing your content out loud, then we’ll sing!
I nurture innovative ideas and creativity always, which is especially useful if you are seeking extra support with coursework or practical skills.
I have a large bank of current resources from awarding bodies which will support theoretical knowledge too!
I am open to teaching curriculum based lessons but also hobby/interest based lessons too! If you want to learn how to sew, the basics of graphic design, how to use Canva, I would love to help you! And if you have a skill or craft subject in mind that you want to learn, send me a message and we can discuss how I could support your learning.
