About Graham

I bring 9 years of professional ESL tutoring experience, teaching High School and College students and helping around 150–200 learners achieve their English learning goals. My teaching philosophy is based on adaptability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

I believe that effective teaching requires understanding each student’s needs, so I take time to personalise my lessons accordingly. I use a variety of teaching methods such as conversations, role plays, grammar exercises, and real-life scenarios to make learning interactive and practical.

I also focus on building confidence, especially for students who feel shy or unsure about speaking English. Through patience and encouragement, I help them overcome their fears and improve gradually. One of my proudest achievements is seeing students who once struggled become confident communicators and perform well academically. I am dedicated to providing high-quality teaching and supporting every student’s success.

About the lesson

My ESL teaching methodology combines creativity, critical thinking, mentorship, and accountability to create an effective learning experience. I use creative activities such as real-life conversations, storytelling, role-play, and problem-solving tasks to make lessons practical and interesting.

I focus on building critical thinking skills by encouraging students to analyse ideas, ask questions, and express their thoughts clearly. This helps them gain confidence and improve communication.

As a mentor, I guide students with patience and understanding. I personalise my teaching approach to match each student’s learning style and pace. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable and motivated.

I also emphasise accountability by setting clear expectations and tracking progress. I provide regular feedback to help students improve.

Along with ESL, I teach related subjects to support overall development. My goal is to help students become confident, fluent, and independent learners.
